WIP: Forgefiend Conversion, part 3

Here’s another quick update on the Forgefiend conversion. More sculpting on the legs and feet.

The legs are near completion. I just need to make some armour plates for the lower legs and finish sculpting around the hips. Once that is done, I’ll fix the legs together and start working on the midriff. And from there I’ll move on to the torso.

Keep on trucking.

      1. So it turns out I had a spelling mistake on your blog address on my blog roll, which is why I never saw any updates. This makes me very sad as I do so love your stuff.

As a person who hasn’t done any sculpting before how do you suggest starting to do something like the knees on your model there?

      2. Look on the bright side, you got a ton of posts look at now. πŸ™‚

Sculpting – well, there isn’t much to it, if you want to do mutated and warped stuff that is. You need some tools, I used pens, knives, wire bits and what not for years. But lets face it, real sculpting tools make sculpting both easier and far more enjoyable.

Just mix some Green Stuff and stick in place. Use water as a lubricant and go to work with your tools. I always try and get the base done first (coverage and basic shape), and then start the detailing. Just add water (a few drops on your fingertip and smear it on the GS) and slowly add shapes and whatnot. Different techniques depending on what you want to do.

      1. Very cool stuff. I’ve just started on a rather large chaotic monstrosity myself. Should have some images ready by the end of next week. Thanks for the inspiration πŸ™‚

      2. Looking forward to see what you bring forth. You got some wicked stuff on your blog (which I just discovered too) so I can imagine it will be cool.
