I got around to my local GW shop and bought some more Green Stuff and some few paints as well.

I also picked up some sculpting tools. I felt it was about time after years of using ballpoint pens, steel wire bits and whatnot. I believe I’ve earned it. The tools look neat and I’m looking forward to putting the to use. Still got a aweful amount of work on the Maulerfiend left to do.

    1. The clippers look nice but I have a ton of different clippers already. And the mould line scraper, how does it differ from using a modelling knife to scrape the lines?

      1. It has a full length tang (entire length of tool), which gives it a lot of rigidness vs a knife blade. (which has a very short length). Also, if you slip, you don’t bleed all over your mini. It’s also weighed really nicely. If you ever get a chance to see one first hand, ask if you can pick it up.

      2. Hehe. Ya. Of all their tools I’ve seen and used in person, it’s been my fav. The fact I’m not cutting myself up anymore is the biggest plus. I know there are micro seam scrappers that people like as well as alternates. I’m happy with this one though!

  1. Believe it or not I’ve still got citadel paints that I’ve had since I was 20 years old. I’m now 36. They are a bit gluggy but work just fine. GW are expensive but there modelling equipment etc seems to be of a high quality.

    1. I threw away old paints (Eldar and Space Marine paint set from the early 90s) just before I got back into the hobby – I thought they were all dried up and useless. I regret doing that …

GW is premium goods and it shows.
